Crystal Yip Yoke Lin UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCM)
Crystal Yip is a dedicated professional with a background in both non-profit and private sectors,
giving her a practical understanding of business operations, environmental responsibility, and
social impact. She holds a Master's degree in Science and has published research in the field. At
UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei (UNGCMYB), Crystal has led initiatives including
climate action, water resilience, and supply chain programmes. She played a key role in
developing the ESG START maturity assessment tool, adopted by leading companies such as
PETRONAS, PRASARANA, Sarawak Energy, RHB and Heineken. Crystal also contributed to the
PROGRESS climate maturity assessment with Alliance Bank and led the development of the
Corporate Sustainability Practitioner (CSP) Competency Framework 2.0 with Bursa Malaysia,
helping to strengthen the capabilities of sustainability professionals. Her work continues to
support sustainable development efforts across Malaysia and Brunei.
