I am Maaya (Shanmugaselvi R.), a fashion designer, entrepreneur, and council member who believes in the power of creativity and community. From a humble village background, I have grown into a woman who designs not just clothes, but experiences that carry culture, elegance, and individuality. In 2019, I founded DESIGLAM, my fashion brand that reimagines tradition with modern sophistication. My journey has also led me to design for television series such as Tamil Latchumi and Yaar An on Astro. Alongside fashion, I run Swans Wedding, a successful production company that has brought joy to hundreds of clients. Beyond my businesses, I serve as the Chairperson of the Startup, SME, and Micro Development Division of KLSICCI, and as an elected council member (2024–2026). My focus is on uplifting entrepreneurs, especially women and SMEs, by creating opportunities through brand storytelling, empowerment forums, and growth initiatives.
